For those of you who have followed my feral cat story, today was tragic.
Elbee the female who I rescued two liters of kittens and finally trapped her for spaying, was hit by a careless driver this morning.
Her injuries were extensive and we had to say good bye.
We held her, for the only time in her life, while we let her go in peace.
I’m so sad and angry. One second of carelessness while speeding or checking a phone can change a life.
Sam wrote this haiku:
Love in my life lost
Glad you let me hold you once

So very sorry Bev. Years ago I lost a cat to a car. I still remember my desolation. Zeus was a cuddler and a lover

Very traumatic and could have been avoided. We so hoped to bring her inside.
So sorry for your heartache. Wishing you peace.
The hardest thing about death is that life goes on. You want it to stop and pay respect but it keeps going on. Sorry for yours and your hubby’s loss.
I just hate cars being hit by cars. Our new kitten Max has only been with us for a week but we are going to make it impossible to get out of the back yard – I just can’t miss him. Wishing you courage and strength with your loss…
Sorry meant cats being hit by cars…
Such sad news, treasure those memories 🍂
Yes, we will remember her sweet face peering into the window.
