Tangle of flowers
Deep in the field where sunlight
Plays on soft petals.
Art Prescription: What a fun time I had today playing with alcohol inks with my art group! Thank you Farley, who hosted and provided all the new and fun supplies to experiment with. We used photo paper, alcohol, and alcohol inks. For an hour or more there was not a sound except for a, “wow.” We dripped, sprayed, doodled, and watched as our works took on a life of their own. Not for the exact of heart! Alcohol inks are discovery at its best!! A great tool to have in your Art Prescription cabinet.
Alcohol ink on photo paper:

Beautiful!
Thanks have you tried alcohol inks?
I have tried them and would use them more often but the smell really bothers me. I have tried them on game tiles like they use in jewelry and on ceramic tiles. They make beautiful coasters!

Hi Madeline, have you tried alcohol inks?
And this really looks like flowers. It’s wonderful, Beverly!
Have you played with alcohol inks Laura?
You know, I don’t think I have, Beverly. I’m played with Distress inks, but they’re water-based. Which do you prefer? Maybe I’ll grab some primary colors or something?
Yes the smell can be strong. Perfect outdoor fall project. Laura it was my first time and I used a friend’s supplies.
